Worried, no. Careful, yes. Resilient sheet flooring and some adhesives from before about 1980 can contain asbestos, and it is only a hazard if it is disturbed and made airborne. We identify it and have it tested rather than guessing, and where it is present the removal is handled by the proper route. It is manageable — it just should not be improvised.

Carpet removal is clean and quick. Scraping adhered vinyl or breaking out an old tile floor is genuinely dusty and noisy for a day or two.
