Can I get a marble look with luxury vinyl flooring?

Yes, because luxury vinyl flooring (LVF) has terrific, true-to-life echoes of wood, stone, or tile that follow all current industry trends.  It is considered a premium product, yet very affordable; this is 100% waterproof, durable, low maintenance, and has an easy uncomplicated installation. If you haven't yet been introduced to LVF, come into our showroom to explore the product line.

Style

Forget anything you may remember from decades ago.  All images are created with digital photography, so they have clarity and vibrancy; you'll see every knot, grain, swirl, and veining variation. The vinyl has micro beveling and embossing to add depth, dimension, and textured appearances, such as wire-brushed, hand scraped, weathered, and distressed.

Since it follows trends, you can get gray, blond, traditional, or whitewashed floors or marble, slate, terrazzo, quartz or granite looks, and more.  The tiles come in everything from colorful geometrics to floral motifs and filigree, making a pattern look hand-painted and weathered.

Plank and tile forms

One design option is to cut them to mimic hardwood boards, called vinyl plank flooring, or square pieces, called LVT flooring, that echo stone and tile.  The planks are made by cutting the vinyl into strips and mounting them on boards, while some even add grout, now an important design tool with a broad color palette, to the tile pieces. Many feel the extra seams add even more to the realism.

LVF is easy to care for with just daily sweeping and periodic mopping.  Avoid waxy, shine-promoting cleaners as they can damage the urethane coating and dull.  Installation can be a simple floating floor; pieces mat and then hover over the subfloor with no nails or glue.  Subfloors should be clean, dry, and level.
